Over 24 months, RTIS Network coordinated 17 partners from 16 countries across six transnational meetings – from Corfu to Valongo.
Together, we created the GISLG guidebook, launched the European Day of Sustainable Mobility, adopted Universal Design as a core legacy, and formalised a permanent network of Citizen Science Observatories.
GreenMove is not just a project. It is a movement.

From November 2024 to May 2026, the GreenMove consortium proved that (citizen-led activities) sustainable mobility is not just about technology – it is about people (citizen-led), democracy, and shared European values.

A Network Built on Trust, Tenacity, and Vision

When RTIS Network assumed the role of lead coordinator for the GreenMove project (CERV-2024-Network of Towns) , we knew we were embarking on an ambitious journey: to unite 17 partners from 16 European countries – including municipalities, NGOs, research centres, and a chamber of commerce – around a single, transformative idea. That idea was Demos‑Kratos: power from the people.

Over 24 months, we organised six transnational meetings across Europe – from the Ionian coast of North Corfu to the mountains of Valongo – and an additional series of digital workshops that ensured continuous engagement despite travel disruptions affecting nine of the 16 countries at one critical juncture.

What we achieved together is not merely a set of deliverables. It is a permanent European infrastructure for climate democracy. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:share:7458101028194852864/?actorCompanyId=108188120

Key Achievements of the GreenMove Project on rural mobility and more…

1. Six High‑Impact Citizen-led Transnational Meetings

Each meeting was designed to advance a specific pillar of sustainable, inclusive mobility:

Meeting

Location

Theme

Key Outcome

#1

North Corfu, Greece

European Rural Identity & Transformation

First GISLG chapter; consortium foundation

#2

Siggiewi, Malta

Innovative Technologies for Mobility & Energy

Linked tech with democratic values; second GISLG chapter

#3

Podstrana, Croatia

Sustainable Tourism & Mobility

Launched European Day of Sustainable Mobility; third GISLG chapter

#4

Fano, Italy

Fundamental Rights & EU Values in Transport

Created Charter for Inclusive Mobility; fourth GISLG chapter

#5

Paphos, Cyprus

Holistic Societal Progress & Citizen Engagement

Fifth GISLG chapter; hybrid delivery despite travel bans

#6

Valongo, Portugal

Empowering Women in Mountainous Regions

Universal Design adopted as core legacy; sixth GISLG chapter; permanent network formalised

2. The Interactive Sustainable Living Guidebook (GISLG)

A six‑chapter, open‑access resource co‑created by all partners, covering:

European rural identity & transformation

Innovative technologies for sustainable mobility

Sustainable tourism & eco‑friendly transport options

Fundamental rights & EU values in transport infrastructure

Holistic societal progress through citizen engagement

Gender equality, social inclusion & mountainous regions

The GISLG is now available on the GreenMove platform as a living toolkit for any European municipality.

3. The European Day of Sustainable Mobility

The consortium issued a formal call to the European Commission to establish May 9 (Europe Day) as the annual European Day of Sustainable Mobility – a continent‑wide moment for citizens and municipalities to take concrete action for greener, more inclusive transport.

4. The GreenMove Digital Toolbox & Open‑Access Resources

An online repository of proven e‑tools, policy templates, citizen science methodologies, and replication guides – all freely available to any municipality, regardless of size or budget.

5. Universal Design as a Core Legacy

Inspired by the Municipality of Fano (presented by Davide Frulla), the consortium adopted Universal Design – “Design for All” as a binding principle for inclusive mobility planning. This approach ensures that infrastructure investments actively benefit families with strollers, children, elderly citizens, and persons with disabilities – and it will now be integrated into the GreenMove methodology for future replication. https://www.comune.fano.pu.it/

6. Permanent European Network of Citizen Science Observatories

The consortium formalised itself as a permanent association, open to new members, with a rotating secretariat and annual assemblies. This guarantees that the GreenMove network – and its commitment to citizen‑led climate action – will continue long after EU funding ends.

7. Pathway to Interreg Europe

The consortium confirmed its ambition to upscale the GreenMove methodology through an Interreg Europe proposal, focusing on policy learning, cross‑regional cooperation, and improving local governance instruments. This will allow the partnership to move from a network of towns to a policy‑improvement project with regional and national impact.

Overcoming Adversity: The Paphos Example

At the 5th meeting in Paphos (March 2026), severe weather and transport strikes made travel impossible for delegations from nine of the 16 countries. The consortium refused to postpone. Instead, we delivered a seamless hybrid meeting that ensured 100% participation – with remote partners presenting, discussing, and co‑creating as if they were in the room. This moment became a defining testament to European resilience and solidarity.

Strategic Communication & Dissemination

The project’s outcomes were amplified through:

A synchronised publishing wave by all 17 partners on their official websites.

Multilingual press releases (over 15 languages) reaching national and regional media.

A participant‑driven social media campaign generating authentic advocacy and embedding #GreenMove into the European sustainability conversation.

Articles featured in the Forum of Adriatic and Ionian Cities (FAIC) newsletter, extending policy visibility to over 40 municipalities across eight countries.

What Our Partners Say

“What we built in GreenMove is not just a set of tools – it is a movement. From the shores of Corfu to the mountains of Valongo, we have shown that citizens, municipalities, and EU values can together forge a more inclusive, sustainable, and democratic Europe.”
– RTIS Network, Lead Coordinator

“The adoption of Universal Design as a core legacy of GreenMove will shape how we plan public spaces for generations. This is the true meaning of European cooperation.”
– Municipality of Fano

“Valongo’s Social Innovation Department demonstrated that citizen science and intergenerational solidarity can bridge the generation gap. Our YouTubeTrainers initiative is now a European best practice.”
– Municipality of Valongo

Looking Ahead: A Permanent Movement for Climate Democracy

The GreenMove project has officially concluded, but the GreenMove movement has only just begun. With a permanent network, a validated methodology, and a clear pathway to Interreg Europe, the consortium is ready to scale its impact – empowering more municipalities, engaging more citizens, and embedding fundamental rights into the very fabric of European mobility governance.

Introduction

From April 26 to May 1, 2026, the RTIS Network (Greece), together with the 4th Lyceum of Alimos, participated in the third transnational mobility of the Erasmus+ project @ARTisGReen. The meeting was hosted by the leading partner, Liceul de Arte Corneliu Baba, in the historic city of Bistrița, Romania. This report provides a comprehensive overview of the six‑day programme, highlighting the educational activities, cultural exchanges, creative outputs, and the lasting impact of the project.

Day 1 – Sunday, April 26: Arrival and First Impressions

The Greek delegation departed from Athens’ Eleftherios Venizelos Airport, flying to Cluj, Romania, and then travelling by road to Bistrița. Upon arrival, Erasmus+ coordinators welcomed the group and escorted them to the hotel. After a briefing about the city and the programme, participants enjoyed a free day to explore Bistrița, have lunch, and rest. The evening included a short stroll through the city before returning to the hotel at 10:00 p.m. to prepare for the week ahead.

Day 2 – Monday, April 27: Official Opening and Cultural Immersion

The first official programme day began at the art school in Bistrița with a warm welcome that included a dance performance by students from all participating countries. Partner schools presented themselves, and students were divided into mixed international groups. The delegation visited the City Hall, where the deputy mayor greeted them and showed a video about the city. After lunch at the school cafeteria, teachers enjoyed a guided historical tour of Bistrița led by a local history teacher, while students participated in a scavenger hunt to discover the city. The day concluded with a get‑together dinner for teachers featuring live traditional music, and a separate student gathering for food and fun. Everyone returned to the hotel at 10:00 p.m.

Day 3 – Tuesday, April 28: Creative Workshops and Green Skills

The day focused on hands‑on creativity and sustainability. Students designed and decorated personalised mugs, which would be used throughout the week as part of the programme’s environmental awareness initiatives. Meanwhile, teachers toured the school’s facilities and workshops. Subsequently, students worked in four thematic workshops:

Fashion workshop: creating eco‑friendly jewellery for a fashion show scheduled on Thursday.

Ceramics workshop: shaping art with natural clay.

Architecture workshop: building a solar‑powered garden furniture piece capable of charging mobile phones.

Object restoration workshop: giving new life to old objects.

After lunch, selected students practised their catwalk as models for the upcoming fashion show. The evening featured an international party where participants shared traditional foods, music, and dances from all six countries. The day ended with a restful return to the hotel.

Day 4 – Wednesday, April 29: Mosaic Art and Transylvanian Excursion

Teachers attended a lesson on the art of mosaics and took part in a hands‑on workshop, creating mosaic designs inspired by the map of Europe and the participating countries. The group then visited the school library, observing student projects that included completed solar‑powered furniture and pillows made from recycled old fabrics.

In the afternoon, an educational excursion took the delegation to the villages of Herina, Teaca, and Poșmuș in the wider Transylvania region. Participants visited historically significant churches, enjoyed the natural landscape, and were warmly received at a local winery, where they learned about the wine‑making process and walked through the vineyards. The day concluded with a visit to the historic castle of Poșmuș and a tasting of local dairy products, cold cuts, wines, and pumpkin‑based products. The group returned to the hotel around 8:00 p.m.

Day 5 – Thursday, April 30: Grand Finale – Fashion Show and Exhibition

The fifth day was the project’s peak public event. In the morning, students wrote impressions in their project journals and took on roles to prepare for the afternoon event at the Bistrița Museum. They organised and transported items, then set up the fashion show runway and an exhibition of creations made from recycled materials. Meanwhile, teachers collaborated and exchanged views, while a teacher from the rehabilitation workshop painted portraits of colleagues from all countries, creating a warm and artistic atmosphere.

In the evening, around 6:00 p.m., the event took place at the museum. It was an outstanding success, featuring:

A fashion show of jewellery made by students from eco‑friendly materials.

An exhibition of educational projects made from recycled materials (solar furniture, upcycled pillows, etc.).

Attendance by the mayor and deputy mayor of Bistrița, representatives of local organisations, and the media, who conducted interviews with participants.

A certificate ceremony where the school principal and the mayor presented Erasmus+ participation certificates.

A reception with finger food showcasing local Romanian flavours.

The event left a lasting impression on all participants and highlighted the project’s contribution to education for sustainable development.

Day 6 – Friday, May 1: May Day Excursion to Lake Colibița and Closing Celebrations

The final day coincided with May Day. The group travelled to Lake Colibița, a natural gem near Bistrița. En route, they stopped at breathtaking viewpoints and visited the lake’s dam. A unique experience followed: a tour on a solar‑powered boat, gliding silently across the crystal‑clear waters – a perfect symbol of sustainability in action.

Lunch was served at a traditional local tavern, where hosts in authentic Romanian costumes offered a lavish meal with various dishes and desserts. A deeply touching moment occurred when a school teacher presented hand‑drawn portraits to the students as mementos of their participation.

In the afternoon, the delegation returned to Bistrița and joined the municipality’s May Day festivities, which included market stalls and a concert in the town centre in front of the historic church. The programme concluded with excellent impressions and positive feelings from all participants.

After-taste and Future Steps

The mobility in Bistrița has reinforced the core mission of ARTisGReen: to use art as a vehicle for sustainability education, resilience, and social change. Students and teachers returned home with new skills, deepened friendships, and a shared commitment to green innovation.

The next mobility of the ARTisGReen project will be hosted by:

We are excited to share the inspiring journey of RTIS Network’s participation in the Erasmus+ ARTisGreen 2nd Transnational Meeting, held in the beautiful city of Aveiro, Portugal. Over the course of several days, our team engaged in a series of enriching activities, workshops, cultural explorations, and collaborative projects—all centered around the theme: “Creating Synergies in Art for Wellbeing and Inclusion.”

Day 1: Discovering Aveiro — The Venice of Portugal 🌍✨
Our adventure began with a memorable river boat tour on the stunning Ria de Aveiro, often called the “Venice of Portugal.” 🚤🌿 This vibrant 47-kilometer-long coastal lagoon, connecting the Vouga River to the Atlantic Ocean, is a captivating maze of canals, islands, and marshlands. Known for its colorful moliceiro boats, salt production, and birdwatching, the experience set a perfect tone for the week ahead.
RTIS members, together with the 4th Lyceum of Alimos, embraced the local culture and began building meaningful connections in this picturesque setting. We’re energized and eager for the inspiring days to come!

Day 2: Workshops & Strategic Planning 🎨📝
Day 2 was dedicated to impactful workshops focused on fostering inclusive education in the arts. Our team actively participated in:

“Inclusive Teaching Methods in Arts – The Development of Inclusive Pedagogical Practices”
“Part II: Practical Art-Based Activities”

These sessions provided hands-on techniques to promote diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. We also dedicated time to analyze recent changes in teaching strategies within our partnership and collaborated on developing our Inclusion and Diversity Plan, outlining actionable steps to embed inclusion into our future educational practices.
The energy and collaboration among participants reinforced our shared commitment to transforming arts education through innovative, inclusive approaches.

Day 3: Exploring Porto & Cultural Exchange 🌉🌇
On Day 3, our Greek delegation and partners traveled from Aveiro to Porto, Portugal’s vibrant city. We immersed ourselves in Porto’s rich history, architecture, and lively streets, strengthening our bonds through shared cultural experiences. This day of exploration fueled our inspiration and deepened our understanding of Portugal’s diverse cultural landscape.

Day 4 & 5: Showcasing Creativity & Celebrating Collaboration 🎭🎶
The final days culminated in a powerful artistic performance held at EB de Aradas in Aveiro, featuring inclusive, collaborative art projects created by students and educators. This event demonstrated how art can serve as a vital tool for wellbeing and inclusion, showcasing the transformative power of collective creativity.
Throughout the week, we also developed comprehensive plans to promote equity, accessibility, and diversity in arts education, reinforcing our dedication to fostering inclusive environments.

The 5th GreenMove Meeting came to a succefulf end against all odds!!

When severe weather conditions and transport strikes made travel impossible for delegations from nine partner countries, the consortium refused to accept postponement or cancellation. Instead, the GreenMove network mobilized its collective expertise to deliver a seamless hybrid meeting experience, with partners joining remotely to deliver their national presentations and actively participate in all workshops, roundtables, and discussions.

“This was GreenMove at its finest,” said a representative of ANETPA, the host organization. “When faced with obstacles, our network didn’t falter—it innovated. Partners who could not travel physically were present in spirit and in substance, delivering high-quality presentations via our hybrid platform. The dialogue was uninterrupted, the collaboration was authentic, and the outcomes were as rich as if everyone had been in the room.”

Despite the logistical challenges, the meeting achieved 100% participation from all 17 partner organizations across 16 countries, with approximately 80 delegates—both in-person and virtual—engaging in three days of intensive knowledge exchange and co-creation.

Delivering on the GreenMove Vision

The Paphos meeting successfully advanced the project’s core mission of embedding EU values into local mobility planning. Key achievements include:

In-depth national presentations from all 16 partner countries, providing a comprehensive overview of diverse European mobility ecosystems

Interactive workshops on citizen engagement strategies, participatory planning methods, and sustainable urban mobility

Roundtable discussions uniting local authorities, transportation providers, and community members

Cultural immersion in Paphos—the 2023 European Capital of Smart Tourism—showcasing the integration of heritage with sustainable innovation

Critical progress on the fifth chapter of the Interactive Sustainable Living Guidebook (GISLG), focused on transportation infrastructure and holistic societal progress

A Testament to European Cooperation

The successful delivery of the Paphos meeting against significant odds underscores the fundamental strength of the GreenMove partnership: a shared commitment to European values of solidarity, cooperation, and perseverance.

“What we witnessed in Paphos was the Demos-Kratos philosophy in action,” remarked a consortium coordinator. “When citizens and municipalities are united by a common purpose, obstacles become opportunities. Our partners refused to let geography or circumstances diminish our collective work. This is the true spirit of Europe.”

Looking Forward: The Final Meeting in Valongo

With the Paphos milestone achieved, the GreenMove consortium now sets its sights on the 6th and final transnational meeting, to be hosted by the Municipality of Valongo, Portugal, in late 2026. The Valongo meeting will focus on “Sustainable and Social Inclusion: Empowering Women in Mountainous Regions through Mobility and Gender Equality,” bringing the project’s journey full circle by addressing one of the most critical dimensions of inclusive mobility.

RTIS Network showed once more a totally responsible manner at all levels!

Over five dynamic days in early December, the coastal municipality of Alimos, Athens, was transformed into a vibrant, living classroom for the ARTisGReen Erasmus+ project. Bringing together 50+ students and educators from six European nations, this first transnational meeting moved seamlessly from theoretical training to profound, hands-on action—a remarkable feat orchestrated in just three weeks by the RTIS Network.

RTIS, the project’s Greek coordinating partner, demonstrated exceptional agility and vision. In an intense preparatory period, they meticulously designed and executed a comprehensive program that transcended traditional academic meetings. The goal was not to talk about sustainability, but to live it, create from it, and become guardians of it.

🌟 A Week of Holistic, Experiential Learning

Under RTIS’s expert management, each day was a carefully crafted chapter in a story of transformation:

♻️ Day 1: The Circular Challenge & Municipal Strategy
The week began by bridging policy and practice. Participants engaged directly with the Municipality of Alimos, where officials presented the city’s “Green Strategy” on waste, transport, and energy. A live demonstration of public recycling technology underscored the real-world systems behind sustainability, setting a tone of tangible, civic-minded action.

🌊 Day 2: Guardians of the Shore – The Beach Intervention
Theory met the tide during a powerful Beach Clean-Up. But this was merely the first step. Students and teachers collected anthropogenic debris, which they later transformed in a creative lab into new tools and art pieces. This direct process of “waste to resource” embodied the circular economy, proving that environmental care is the first material in any creative process.

🎨 Day 3: The Magic of Clay – Connecting to Earth
In a deeply tactile session conceived by RTIS’s Maria Markantonaki, the delegation visited a historic Alimos Clay Factory. Guided by master artisans, participants connected with one of humanity’s oldest materials, shaping raw earth into art. This activity celebrated slow, mindful making and the creative rebirth inherent in natural materials—a core principle of sustainable living.

🐢 Day 4: Protectors of Biodiversity – The ARCHELON Visit
A poignant visit to the Sea Turtle Protection Society (ARCHELON) provided an emotional anchor for the week. Witnessing the conservation work for these ancient creatures made abstract concepts of biodiversity and ecosystem protection vividly real, reinforcing the “why” behind every sustainable action.

🌀 Day 5: Adaptation & Synthesis – The Storm Lesson
The week’s curriculum was underscored by a powerful, unplanned lesson from nature itself. Participants experienced the dramatic shift from a sunny beach day to the arrival of Storm Byron. This firsthand encounter with volatile weather became a live case study in resilience and adaptation, themes central to the project. Plans were seamlessly adjusted, demonstrating the very flexibility and responsive management RTIS championed throughout.

🔑 The RTIS Network: Orchestrators of Transformation

The true success of the week lay in RTIS’s holistic approach. They masterfully wove together:

Municipal Engagement with grassroots Student Action.

Environmental Science with Expressive Art.

Traditional Craft with Modern Ecological Challenges.

This was not a series of disjointed visits but a cohesive narrative. The beach clean-up fed the art lab; the policy meeting informed project ideas; the storm reinforced the urgency of the mission. RTIS created an immersive ecosystem where every activity reinforced the others, fostering a profound sense of agency, community, and interdisciplinary understanding.

🚀 A Launchpad for a Three-Year Mission

This week in Alimos was far more than a meeting; it was the successful ignition of the ARTisGReen project’s three-year engine. RTIS Network, through exemplary management and visionary planning, did not merely host an event—they facilitated a transformational experience. They proved that deep, impactful education can be curated against tight deadlines, leaving 50 participants from six countries not just informed, but inspired, connected, and equipped to become true ambassadors for a resilient future.

The seeds of change have been planted. The European network is activated. The journey of ARTisGReen is decisively underway.

The 36 months journey of ARTisGReen starts from Greece!!

We are proud to announce the successful conclusion of the foundational online transformative Teacher training for the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH project, ARTisGReen. This intensive program, held from November 7th to 22nd, 2023, marks the project’s first major deliverable and officially kick-starts our three-year mission to reshape education for sustainability across Europe. 🚀

The course, “Education for Sustainable Development as Transformational Healing,” brought together a dedicated cohort of educators from six partner nations: Greece 🇬🇷, Romania 🇷🇴, Türkiye 🇹🇷, Portugal 🇵🇹, Poland 🇵🇱, and Estonia 🇪🇪.

🔑 The RTIS Network: Architects of Transformation

The success of this pivotal training phase is attributed to the expert design and facilitation by our Greek partner, the RTIS Network. Under the leadership of Dimitris Chaniotis and the strategic guidance of Maria Markantonaki, the RTIS team transcended the role of mere trainers to become architects of a new pedagogical mindset.

They masterfully delivered a curriculum that moved beyond theoretical knowledge, equipping teachers with a practical framework to become “Transformation Agents” in their own classrooms. The training introduced the project’s core methodology, the AST Fusion—the strategic integration of Art, Science, and Technology—as the engine for student-led, real-world problem-solving.

📚 A Curriculum Designed for Impact

The program’s unique blended format combined dynamic synchronous sessions with deep asynchronous reflection, built on several key pillars:

✨ From “Fast Culture” to Resilient Citizenship: Educators learned to diagnose the environmental and social impacts of consumerism and frame solutions through the lens of resilience and circularity.

🧠 The “Great Slow Down”: The concept of transformational learning was introduced as an antidote to eco-anxiety, emphasizing depth, connection, and mindful action over speed and consumption.

🛠 The “Living Lab” Framework: Teachers were equipped to turn their schools and local communities into testing grounds for sustainability, where students act as co-researchers and ambassadors for change.

🤝 Building a European Community of Practice: The training fostered a vibrant network of educators committed to long-term collaboration, sharing adaptations of the methodology to their diverse local contexts.

🎯 The First Step on a Shared Journey

This training was not an endpoint, but a powerful launchpad. It has successfully:

Aligned the Vision: Creating a shared understanding and common language among all international partners.

Built Core Capacity: Equipping educators with the tools and confidence to pilot the ARTisGReen methodology.

Fostered a Collaborative Network: Establishing the trust and framework for ongoing co-creation across borders.

The energy, creativity, and profound commitment demonstrated by all participants have set an exceptional standard for the project. As these educators return to their classrooms in six countries, they carry the first seeds of the ARTisGReen mission—ready to cultivate a generation of resilient, empowered citizens.

The mission is now live. The transformation begins. 💪

From November 19-22, 2025, the Municipality of Fano hosted the fourth transnational meeting of the GreenMove project—a gathering that transcended mere milestones to become a historic declaration of commitment and innovation. Coordinated flawlessly by RTIS Network, this CERV event showcased exceptional organization, strategic vision, and a united drive toward a sustainable future for Europe’s rural communities. 🎯🤝

A Meeting That Sets a New Standard in Sustainable Collaboration 🌱✨

Under RTIS’s expert leadership, the consortium of 17 partners from 16 countries not only advanced project deliverables—such as workshops on integrated mobility, vital data collection, and the development of the fourth chapter of the Interactive Sustainable Living Guidebook (GISLG)—but also made a groundbreaking collective pledge.

This pledge? The creation of the “GreenMove Sustainability Toolbox”—a dynamic, open-access digital repository designed to remain a living legacy long after project funding concludes. This innovative platform will house proven e-tools, strategic models, and best practices from GreenMove and previous EU projects, empowering rural communities to implement sustainable mobility and energy efficiency solutions independently. 🌐🔧

RTIS’s Expertise in Action: Building a Legacy for the Future 🔧🌿

A spokesperson from the Municipality of Fano emphasized, “A project’s true success is measured by its longevity. The Toolbox is our promise that GreenMove’s knowledge will evolve into a resource fueling the green transition across Europe’s rural areas for years to come.”

Throughout the project, partners have already demonstrated tangible impact:

In North Corfu, Greece, GreenMove laid the groundwork for a new Small Ports Management Office, a pivotal step in sustainable coastal mobility.

In Podstrana, Croatia, the consortium called on the European Commission to designate May 9 as a “European Day of Sustainable Mobility,” linking green action with European identity.

Partners from Malta to Latvia are actively implementing plans for on-demand transport, inclusive infrastructure, and community-led green tourism.

The Toolbox will serve as a comprehensive systematization of these real-world experiences—offering future adopters tested blueprints for impactful change.

A Unified, Impact-Driven Consortium 🌍🤝

Funded by the CERV-2024-Network of Towns program, the GreenMove network exemplifies the power of collaboration. The decision in Fano underscores a shared commitment to European values of solidarity, territorial cohesion, and sustainable development.

By co-creating this legacy tool, RTIS and its partners ensure that the spirit of GreenMove—pragmatic problem-solving and unwavering dedication to rural transformation—will inspire communities across Europe for generations to come. 🌟🌿

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ Project “ZeroPlastic 4 All” (ZP4All)
(Project No. 2023-2-EL01-KA210-VET-000170094), trainers from RTIS Training successfully implemented a local dissemination and capacity-building activity in Alimos, translating European cooperation into tangible educational impact at community level.

Following their participation in transnational meetings and joint training activities, RTIS trainers transferred the knowledge, methodologies, and tools developed at European level to the local Vocational Education and Training (VET) community, reinforcing the project’s objective of empowering learners and educators to actively address plastic pollution.

The activity was organised as a one-day conference and interactive workshop, structured into six thematic sessions, and involved 30–40 students from at least three different classes. Participants were introduced to the ZP4All project framework, its innovative educational tools, and the newly developed ZP4All Educational Guide. In parallel, the ZP4All online platform was presented through a structured e-presentation, providing an overview of its learning materials and practical resources.

The training sessions addressed the core thematic areas of the project, including:

Understanding the Life Cycle of Plastics

Strategies for Reducing Plastic Use

Alternative Materials and Technologies

Policy and Regulation

Community and Corporate Responsibility

Education and Outreach

Monitoring and Evaluation

Best Practices in Monitoring and Evaluation

The event was hosted in Alimos, with the support of the local school, highlighting how European-funded initiatives can foster meaningful local engagement and contribute to sustainable behavioural change. Through hands-on learning and participatory approaches, students were encouraged to critically assess plastic use and explore practical, scalable solutions.
