Resilience through Innovation & Sustainability

RTIS Network members played a pivotal role in organizing the Alimos Municipality’s inaugural event, which welcomed over 20 partners from across Europe. This landmark gathering, held from February 20 to 22, 2025, was a resounding success. The experienced project managers from RTIS expertly coordinated one of the most significant and engaging work packages of the “GREENgaged” project, which is led by the Pinhel Municipality in Portugal. The Alimos Municipality took the initiative in hosting this event, with comprehensive oversight from RTIS.
The three-day agenda was packed with engaging activities. The “GREENgaged Citizens” project promotes the principles of the CERV programme by enhancing citizen participation in environmental policymaking and fostering collaboration between local authorities and communities. The Alimos meeting served as a unique opportunity to strengthen relationships and share experiences among partners from countries including Italy, Portugal, Estonia, Latvia, Spain, Slovakia, Hungary, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, and France.
This meeting marked the first time that the Municipality of Alimos stepped into the role of organizer under the European CERV Programme. The event provided a dynamic platform for exchanging best practices and promoting sustainable tourism at both the local and European levels.
The highlight of the three-day event came with an inspiring presentation by students from the 4th General High School of Alimos at the Cultural Centre. With creativity and passion, the students shared their ideas and actions to combat climate change, delivering a powerful message of responsibility and hope!
